Managing Director

Brian has been involved in the construction industry throughout his career, establishing his first business, focused on the supply of architectural ironmongery in 1968. Following on from his early success, he has gone on to develop and support further ventures, focused specifically on the manufacture of specialist products for the ironmongery industry. Drawing on Consort’s strong foundations, both in its core UK market, as well as its international offices, Brian has continued to expand the company’s global footprint, whilst investing heavily in supporting British manufacturing. Further to the continuing development of Consort’s core range of products, through our manufacturing facilities in Manchester, Birmingham and internationally, we are proud to be able to continue to provide complex master keyed systems and bespoke high end door furniture, made exclusively in Britain along with a full range of products to suit all applications, to our growing list of international clients.

Daniel May
Regional Director (Middle East Office)

Daniel joined Consort after university, working for the UK based wholesale distribution business. His key areas of focus were on the development of the product range and expanding the customer base. He moved to head up the international operations in the Middle East in 2010. As Regional Director and Head Of Consort’s overseas operations, Daniel has been particularly keen to ensure that Consort’s extensive range of product complies fully with the relevant industry standards implementing an all-encompassing testing programme in order to achieve certification across the range, continuing to diversify the business, with a strong emphasis on product development and specification focused sales, as well as expanding the company’s geographical footprint, across the Middle East and Africa. The company has grown significantly during this period and is continuing to focus on further product innovations and geographical reach, recently opening offices in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and South Africa, with further international expansion planned in the near future.

Michael Hayward
Director (SA Hardware Traders [Pty] Ltd)

Mike entered the ironmongery industry in 1985 and has been involved in both the manufacturing and distribution of builders hardware throughout Southern Africa since. SA Hardware Traders was incorporated in 2007 and have continued to expand the CONSORT brand in Southern Africa. The company continues to grow exponentially, year on year, and continues to broaden its footprint, supplying Consort’s full range of hardware throughout sub Saharan Africa.
